The Sunderland Gallery, on the St. Cecilia Campus, presents a Latino Art Exhibit, featuring many of Nebraska's Latin artists, whose art will be shown along side of works created by Mexican Masters such as Josefina Aguilar and Pablo Nicolas. Curated by Linda and José García

Join us for poetry, cookies, and beautiful art as CAP invites poet, Fernando Montejano, to perform in the Sunderland gallery. Fernando has been writing and performing in Omaha since 2010, his senior year in high school. Fernando has been invited to read at events hosted by organizations like The Boys and Girls Club, NAMI, and, of course, The Nebraska Writers Collective. During the day, Fernando works at a school for high risk youth with developmental disabilities and coaches poetry after school for Louder Than A Bomb.

Join us as José García discusses the Culture and Tradition of Día de Muertos Ofrendas, Sunday, October 31, 12:30 pm, at the Nash Chapel, where we've set up beautiful Ofrendas for our community. Bring copies of photos of your Dearly Departed to be a part of the Ofrenda.

from Pre-Columbian Ceremonies to Today’s Cocktail Hour

Jose García hosts a First Friday presentation exploring the history of tequila culture, beginning with the beverage’s use in pre-Columbian ceremonies. This event will be part of CAP’s monthly First Friday series, in which visitors can

view the art on display in the Sunderland Gallery and enjoy wine and snacks.
